Privacy Policy for Handling Personal Information and Specific Personal Information

1.Personal Information Protection Principles

We operate businesses related to planning, design, printing, etc. using characters based on our group principle of being a member of the world’s top creative and inspiring companies. We recognize that these businesses exist on the trust of the related parties (customers, clients, shareholders and employees). We establish and promote strict adherence to this Personal Information Privacy Policy as the standard of behavior for directors and employees, etc. to comply with to more strictly handle all of the personal information that we receive in conducting business activities.

We shall not use personal information beyond the scope necessary to achieve previously designated purposes of use.
In addition, we shall take appropriate control measures to prevent unintended use.
Furthermore, we shall comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, Guideline on the Protection of Personal Information (Personal Information Protection Committee) and Japan Industrial Standards JISQ15001:2006 Personal Information Protection Management System in Relation to Personal Information Protection - Requirements and other standards.
Moreover, definitions of the terms in this Personal Information Privacy Policy shall be pursuant to the Act on the Protection of Personal Information.

2.Establishment of Internal Control Structure

We shall conduct the following to appropriately handle personal information.

  1. We shall establish internal rules that determine how to handle personal information.
  2. We shall take measures to prevent or correct (improve) leakage, loss or damage of personal information.
  3. We shall appoint a Personal Information Protection Manager and strictly comply with internal rules.
  4. We shall give education on handling of personal information to the directors and all employees including dispatched workers at least once a year.
  5. We shall audit internal rules and their conditions for compliance at least once a year and continually improve and correct them.

Handling of Personal Information

1. Acquisition and Use of Personal Information

  1. [Purpose of Use]
    We shall use personal information within the scope of the purpose of use that we clearly present and receive consent for when receiving the personal information that we directly receive from principal parties in writing, etc.
    We shall use personal information obtained by other methods within the scope of the purpose of use separately announced. Our general purpose of use shall be as follows.
  2. [Voluntariness of Provision]
    When we ask principal parties such as customers to submit personal information, such provision to us by the principal party shall be voluntary. However, there may be instances where we may not be able to provide our services in part or in whole depending on the types of information not submitted.
  3. [Automatically Acquired Information]
    We have installed security cameras to safely manage our facilities.
    In addition, we are recording access logs on our websites to evaluate our own websites. We shall appropriately manage automatically acquired information in accordance with our rules on information security.
  4. [Use and Provision to Third Parties]
    We shall not use personal information beyond the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use or provide it to third parties except in the following cases.
    1. When consent is received from the principal party. Furthermore, in the case of providing it to a third party, the conditions of agreements shall in principle be based on confidentiality, prohibition of re-provision, and suspension of use upon request from the customer.

  6. [Handling of Specific Personal Information]
    ARTPRESTO Co., Ltd. shall comply with the Act on the Use of Numbers to Identify a Specific Individual in Administrative Procedures (My Number Act) and other related laws and regulations for the handling of specific personal information and personal numbers (“Specific Personal Information, etc.”). In addition, we shall separately establish handling regulations for the safety control measures of the Specific Personal Information, etc.

2.Procedures for Responding to Requests for Disclosure, etc.

We shall promptly respond to requests from principal parties for the notification of the purpose of use, disclosure, correction, addition, or deletion of details, suspension of use, deletion, or suspension of provision to third parties (hereinafter referred to as “Disclosure, etc.”) in relation to the personal information to be disclosed(*) upon identification of the principal party. However, there may be instances where we may not be able to fulfill your request for the deletion of data if it conflicts with legal storage obligations. We shall collect a thousand (1,000) yen (including taxes) for the notification of purpose of use and disclosure of the personal information.

  • * Personal information to be disclosed means “personal information that constitutes a collection of systematically structured information for which we are authorized to respond to all of the requests by the principal party for disclosure, correction, addition, or deletion of the details, suspension of use, deletion and suspension of provision to third parties.”
